The ISSC is pleased to announce that Amitrajeet A. Batabyal has won this year’s Mattei Dogan Foundation Prize for excellence in interdisciplinary research.

Amit Batabyal has been the  Arthur J. Gosnell Professor of Economics at the Rochester Institute of Technology since 2000. He is the author of  7 books (mostly in the fields of ecological economics and invasive species management), over 180 papers in international prestigious scientific journals, and the recipient of over 20 awards and honours throughout his career. The members of the jury were particularly sensitive to the quality and diversity of the work he has already accomplished at this stage of his career.
