National Film Board of Canada confirms presence at World Social Science Forumpublished: June 3, 2013
The ISSC is pleased to announce that The National Film Board of Canada (NFB), recognized as one of the world’s great creative laboratories, will participate in the World Social Science Forum in Montreal. As Canada’s public producer and distributor, it produces and distributes distinctive, relevant and innovative audiovisual productions.
During the Forum, the NFB will organise a special film event on Monday 14 October. The NFB will present a documentary film night on using film for social transformation.
The NFB is unique in its works offer special insight into the diversity and vitality of culture and are an essential part of national cultural heritage. The NFB works in collaboration with emerging and established filmmakers, creators and co-producers in every region of Canada, with Aboriginal and culturally diverse communities, as well as partners around the world. Its creators continue to break new ground in both the form and content of documentaries, animated films and multiplatform digital projects, as well as in digital and 3D animation.
