Seeking Future Earth secretariat published: January 8, 2014
The International Council for Science (ICSU), on behalf of the Science and Technology Alliance for Global Sustainability, has released a call for full proposals to host the permanent secretariat for Future Earth. Following a call for expressions of interest in July last year and a bidders’ conference in November, the call for full bids is open to those who submitted credible expressions of interest and who were invited to participate at the bidders’ conference, as judged by the selection committee.
Those eligible to submit a full proposal to host a Future Earth Secretariat should do so in a single PDF document, using this Template by email to email@example.com with the subject ‘secretariat’ by 31 March 2014, 23:59 central European time. The relevant secretariat documents have been sent to the bidders. As part of the proposals for full bids process, new organisations can be brought on board by existing eligible bidders. Additional regional bidders who are interested in getting involved should email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject ‘secretariat’ for further details. They will be put in contact with existing relevant regional bidders and consortia. The selection committee particularly welcomes additional interest from organisations in Africa, Central Asia and the Pacific islands. ICSU has also put a short note on its website to let stakeholders and the community know what has happened, where it is in the bidding process, and how new organisations can get involved, if they so wish – see bidding update.
