Call for nominations: Scientific Committee of the World Data System


ISSC Members are invited to submit nominations for the ICSU World Data System Scientific Committee.

The World Data System (WDS) is an Interdisciplinary Body of ICSU created by its 29th General Assembly in Maputo, Mozambique, in 2008. Its main mission is to support ICSU’s vision by promoting long-term stewardship of, and universal and equitable access to, quality-assured scientific data and data services, products, and information across a range of disciplines in the natural and social sciences, and the humanities.

The Scientific Committee is the governing board of WDS and it is composed of internationally recognized and leading researchers and experts in all aspects of scientific data. More detailed information regarding the role, responsibilities of committee members and composition of the current committee is available here.

If you would like to nominate an expert for this committee, please complete the Nomination Form, which should be sent to the WDS International Programme Office at ipo@icsu-wds.org no later than 5 March 2018.
