Governance and Management

The Transformations to Sustainability Programme was launched with core support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) for an initial period of four years (2014-2017). With this support the ISSC awarded 38 seed grants in 2014 and is supporting three Transformative Knowledge Networks in 2015-2018. The National Research Foundation of South Africa has been an implementing partner in the call for proposals for Transformative Knowledge Networks.

The Transformations to Sustainability programme is overseen by an international, multi-stakeholder Steering Committee appointed by the ISSC. In addition to its responsibility for advising on strategy development, resource mobilisation and programme management, the Steering Committee is responsible for all decisions on the selection of proposals and allocation of funds.

The programme is run by a management team at the ISSC, comprising Programme Coordinator Sarah Moore and Administrative Assistant Josefin Hainsworth, supported by Senior Programme Adviser Susi Moser, Communications Officer Lizzie Sayer and other ISSC staff as required.
